This weekend saw the Bears embark on their first-ever full team tour, travelling south for an unforgettable few days of lacrosse, team bonding and plenty of fun along the way.

The touring squad consisted of our U15 players alongside a selection of older U13s, who enjoyed a packed schedule both on and off the field. The weekend began with friendly fixtures on Saturday against Cobham and Heaton Mersey, providing valuable game time ahead of Sunday's tournament.

The Cobham Tournament brought together a number of strong teams from across the country, giving the Bears the opportunity to test themselves against new opposition. The team recorded victories against Cobham and Heaton Mersey, while narrowly missing out against Harpenden and a particularly strong New Stars side.

While the results were encouraging, the true success of the weekend was measured by much more than wins and losses. The players represented the club brilliantly throughout, demonstrating teamwork, determination and sportsmanship in every game. They supported one another from the first whistle to the last and embraced every challenge that came their way.

Away from the lacrosse field, the tour provided plenty of opportunities to create lasting memories. The weekend concluded with a fantastic social event alongside fellow tourists Heaton Mersey, where players, coaches and families were able to relax and celebrate a successful weekend together. The journey home was broken up with a visit to Thorpe Lakes, where everyone enjoyed a range of water-based activities and a final chance to enjoy time together before heading back.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make the tour possible, from those who organised and coordinated the weekend behind the scenes to the coaches, volunteers and supporters who gave up their time to ensure everything ran smoothly. We are also extremely grateful to those whose generosity helped provide facilities and entertainment that made the weekend even more special.

Finally, thank you to all of the parents and families who supported the trip and, most importantly, congratulations to the players themselves. They were a credit to the club throughout the weekend and should be immensely proud of the way they conducted themselves both on and off the field.

Our first full team tour was a tremendous success, and the memories made will stay with the players for years to come. We look forward to seeing where the Bears' lacrosse journey takes them next.
