Our U15 Bears travelled to Moreton Hall for a competitive Sixes tournament and produced a series of determined performances against some strong opposition.

The day began with challenging fixtures against Moreton Hall and Heaton Mersey, both of whom fielded experienced squads that included National Academy players. While the results did not go our way, the girls showed great character, worked tirelessly for one another and competed throughout against high-quality opposition.

The team's third match saw a much-deserved reward for their efforts, with an impressive victory over Mellor Norbury. The Bears produced a strong all-round team performance, moving the ball well and working together effectively to secure their first win of the day.

The final fixture against Oxton proved to be a closely fought contest and an excellent game of lacrosse. Both teams battled hard throughout, and although the result ultimately went against the Bears, the players demonstrated tremendous determination and commitment right until the final whistle.

Perhaps most pleasing of all was the way the girls conducted themselves throughout the tournament. They handled some testing situations with maturity, supported one another brilliantly and represented the club with pride both on and off the field.

A huge thank you goes to all the parents who made the journey to support the team, as well as everyone who helped behind the scenes to ensure the day ran smoothly.

The girls should be extremely proud of their efforts.
