Boardman & Eccles 9 v Timperley 19

Great to see the girls play this morning the weather hasn’t been on our side for 2026.

Quarter 1
We got off to a shaky start in the first quarter, conceding several goals in a few minutes, but we did manage to score a few goals.

Quarter 2
Timperley certainly found some weakness in our game in the second quarter. Hats off to their no. 40 she was very good at weaving through and cutting in and out of the fan scoring most of their goals.

Quarter 3
After a crushing quarter we changed formation 4-3-2 boosting our defence with Izzy who normally plays attack. I think the change in formation coupled with it being less crowded in attack gave us a fighting chance. Grace did a great job saving a few shots on target and quick reactions to stop an own goal!! Phew!

Quarter 4
After a great 3rd quarter It looked like we could close the gap further but Timperley adapted and managed to break through our defence. Sadly we didn’t score any more goals resulting in a 19-9 defeat.

Congratulations to Erin and Orla for being voted MVP by Timperley. Congratulations to Jessica for playing her first match today. Training next week see you all.
