The U11 Bears took part in a six-match round-robin tournament, producing some excellent lacrosse throughout the day and finishing with a very respectable fourth-place finish out of seven teams.

With three wins and three losses, the Bears remained competitive throughout the tournament and were firmly in contention near the top of the standings for much of the day.

The standout result was an impressive 7-1 victory over Cheadle, while further wins against Stockport and Mellor White highlighted the team's ability to perform under pressure. Although the match against Timperley proved a difficult one, the girls responded brilliantly and continued to compete with determination in every game that followed.

One of the closest contests came against Mellor Red. Despite the narrow 1-0 defeat, the Bears produced one of their strongest performances of the day and controlled large periods of the match. The team also had to cope with playing short-handed at times following injuries sustained during the game, making their effort and commitment all the more impressive.

Across the tournament, the Bears played some outstanding lacrosse and scored several well-worked team goals. One of the highlights came in the match against Heaton Mersey, where a superb passing move was finished clinically after a perfectly timed assist, producing one of the team's best goals of the season.

The squad's achievement was made even more impressive by the fact that they travelled with only eight players and no substitutes. While other teams were able to rotate players and keep fresh legs on the field, the Bears battled through every minute of every match without relief from the side lines.

Most importantly, the girls demonstrated fantastic teamwork, resilience and togetherness throughout the day. Their strong team spirit, willingness to work for one another and refusal to give up were evident in every game.

Finishing fourth in such a competitive field was a great achievement, and the team can be proud of a tournament performance that showed just how much progress they have made this season.
